Dear Editor,
One wonders how many viewers who watched the BBC 1 coverage of the VE Day
Commemoration Service in Westminster Abbey understood the cruel hypocrisy of the
event and the blatant betrayal of those who gave so much and the thousands who
made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure this nation remained a free and sovereign
people of self political determination.
Today, seventy years after that great victory over German domination, how
many people understand that in 1972 a British government surrendered our
national sovereignty to the covert German aspiration - which was then disguised
as a European Trading Agreement?
This made our own lawful self governance totally subordinate to German
domination, administered by its unelected and unaccountable puppet government in
Brussels, which in 1992 created all British people - including the monarch,
citizens of the EU and subject to the constraints and obligations under that
citizenship, presided over by an unelected and unaccountable puppet
President!
Very few of the brave souls who engaged in that terrible conflict are still
living and those people who remain and experienced and remember the hardships of
those harshest of times are now in the minority, but they will not forget those
dreadful times, nor will they forget the despicable betrayal of this nation
state some twenty seven years later, by those in whom they placed their
trust.
